Hole In One Prize A Teardrop Trailer

PflugerGolf, billed as the Sixth Annual World Golfing Championship of Pflugerville, will offer local linksmen a chance to compete in teams while raising money to benefit the city’s historic downtown district. The event will be held Oct. 20 at Star Ranch Golf Club, 2500 FM 685, in Hutto.

Hosted by the Pflugerville Downtown Association and Pflugerville Community Development Corporation, this year’s event offers prizes, awards, goody bags and a free chicken fried steak supper. The tournament’s featured hole-in-one prize is a T@B Tear Drop Trailer valued at more than $20,000.

Lifelong Pflugerville resident Theodor Timmerman will be honored as the tournament’s grand marshal, and Mayor Jeff Coleman will issue a proclamation commemorating Timmerman’s decades of service to the community.

Over a span of more than 40 years, Timmerman served on the Pflugerville Independent School District board, the Manville water board, Immanuel Lutheran Church council, German-American Farm Mutual board, Pflugerville Fire Department board, Travis County Appraisal board, Round Rock Hospital board, the Travis County Livestock and Rodeo board and is a long time supporter of Texas Lutheran University.

Tournament registration begins at 11:30 a.m. and costs $95 per player. To sign up, download a registration form from the City of Pflugerville website (PDF). Tournament organizers are still looking for volunteers to help with the event. If you are interested in volunteering, call 554-3424.
